Global Problems - Alternative sources of energy.

The Virtual Eden programme comprises an activity related to global problems, which is to be done in January. On 27th January, Romanian students presented projects and essays on this topic, they made Power Point presentations and delivered interesting speeches under the guidance of Mrs. Tudor Georgeta. The aims of this activity are to raise the students’ awareness of the global issues leading to global warming, and to focus on alternative sources of energy. The students who participated in the project meetings in the partner countries, have carried out comparative studies regarding these alternative sources of energy in Romania, Poland, the Czech Republic and Hungary.

We enjoyed Mrs. Mihaela Simonca’s visit in our school, for an assesment-in-progres of our activity related to Virtual Eden.

Our Comenius team is working on the planning, implementation and evaluation of a new programme: I CAN READ - I CAN UNDERSTAND. When the outline of the programme was set up, a lot of bright ideas turned up. The most funny one seems to be a linguistic contest for students and teachers.

During our four-hour Comenius meeting we discussed about the dissemination conference and other acivities to be organised in June.

New Look

NEW LOOK
One of my favourite shops is New Look. New Look is a big British company selling clothes, shoes and accessories. Founder of this chain is Tom Singh. Shops of New Look are located in different countries such as the United Kingdom, Belgium, Frnace, the Netherlands, Ireland, malta, Singapore and the United Arab Emirates. This shop is designed for women form 16 to 30 years old. In New Look you can find many fashin clothes. They aren't too expensive so they have a lot of regular customers. I really like shops of New Look because they have a lot of things to choose from and their clothes fit in with my style.

FOCUS
My favourite shopping center in Focus.

It is located in the center of Jastrzębie Zdrój on Podhalańska Street, just next to the roundabout. Focus is a huge shopping mall and there are many shops where you can buy almost everything. The best shop is Flo. I can buy there funny gifts for different occasions. The best shop with clothes is Bereshka. I like it because there are wonderful and original clothes. I like to go to KFS for lunch after shopping. In my free time I meet my friends in the restaurant where we can drink coffee. People who work in Focus are very nice so the atmosphere there is great. It is possible to have a nice time there. It’s definitely my favourite shop.

BIEDRONKA

Biedronka in English means Ladybird. This is a name of a medium supermarket. In our town Jastrzębie-Zdrój we have six such shops. I like to go there and buy needed products. Everyday on offer there are many promotions. Everything in this shop is well-made. I can buy there : drinks, dairy products, meat, fruit, vegetables, baker goods, desserts and other as well as beauty products and chemicals.. People who work in Biedronka are very nice and helpful. If I can’t find products which I need to buy I can ask a shop assistant and she helps me. This is my favourite supermarket because I can buy everything what I need and I don’t have to go far. It is a very cheap shop but products are well-made.
