Eden Club - Day of Fruit

Do you like fruit? We do! In Eden club young children like eating healthy food: lots of vegetables and fruit. Every Wednesday is a "Fruit Day", when children bring some apples, pears, grapes, oranges to have together. Can you see they are smiling? They are full of vitamins!
Red apple, yellow apple, green apple, it doesn't matter.
While we are tasting apples (yummy!) we are talking about healthy food.

It is so funny having bowls of vitamins. Delicious apples and oranges help us to work better.

Can I have some more? We all know: An apple a day keeps the doctor away!

Tell me what you eat ...A Project day in Dub nad Moravou.

On Friday 25th september 2009 children from Dub school participated in a whole school project focused on healthy eating. It was called Tell me what you eat...and students spent a day with mainly practical activities. They investigated the amount of vitamine C and glucose in various samples of food, made posters showing their opinion about anorexia or bulimy, worked on principles of producing ecological food. Everyone looked forward to the gold point of this project - presenation of bio and healthy nutrition which included their tasting. Majority of students never tried couscous, hummus, exotic rice sorts, tofu or halva, so the project was a great oportunity to extend their knowledge of healthy food range. Many students even asked for the recipes, so they were put on a school blog.

The teachers spent lots of time preparing the project and were happy to see it was a real success.

Virtual Eden Team in Work

This is the language department, here pupils have English lessons from age 6 to 14. In the afternoons there are clubs for children and the Virtual Eden headquartes operates here.
This is the second meeting for some of the teachers who work (and are free) in the project. What a hard work, but we are enjoying it!
