Dear hosts,
We still bear in our hearts the memory of the wonderful days spent in Poland. We are back home but we are still thinking of our meetings in your school, of the Polish dance, of the Comenius alley, of the official dinner when we enjoyed ourselves beside all our friends.

I just want to say that I loved to stay in Patricja's house and to meet her family. They were very kind and nice. She was very friendly and we had a good time together. Her friends were funny and I loved to spend this time with them. I'm so happy because I met Pati and her friends. I enjoyed visiting Cracow and Cieszyn. I think Poland is a very beautiful country and I'll come back with pleasure anytime.

I think that the days we were in Poland were really good. The family was very welcoming and Ola too. All the new people were so funny. That was a great experience.Now I can't wait to meet them in Romania.

In the Galicia Jewish Museum we are participating in the caligraphy workshop.
Calligraphy (from Greek κάλλος kallos "beauty" + γραφή graphẽ "writing") is a type of visual art. It is often called the art of fancy lettering. [Wikipedia] We are listening to the lecture about Jewish culture.

Galicia, Galacia or Halychyna (Polish: Galicja, Ukrainian: Галичина (Halychyna), German: Galizien; Russian: Галичина (Galichina), Yiddish: גאליציע (Galitsie), Czech: Halič) is a historical region in Eastern Europe, currently divided between Poland and Ukraine, named after the Ukraіniаn city of Halych. Not to be confused with Galicia, a historic region of Spain.[Wikipedia] However, you can be confused if we say that on May, 31st, we were in former Galicja Krakow, we ate at the Galicja Restaurant and visited the Galicia Jewish Museum.

Coal Mine

Jastrzębie Zdrój is an industrial town. More than 11 000 people work in three coalmines. We are visiting the coalmine to see how mining can change the landscape.

Teachers' dinner

Polish teachers organised a barbecue for their colleagues from the Czech Republic, Hungary and Romania.

Polonez

The polonaise (Polish: polonez, chodzony; Italian: polacca) is a slow dance of Polish origin, in 3/4 time. Its name is French for "Polish." Frédéric Chopin's polonaises are generally the best known of all polonaises in classical music. Polonaise is always a first dance at a studniówka ("hundred-days"), the Polish equivalent of the senior prom, which is approximately 100 days before exams.[Wikipedia]
The oldest students at school are dancing the POLONEZ at the welcome ceremony.
